Rick Hess began working installing underground cables 31 years ago.  He purchased his first directional drill in 1999 and started Summit Cable at that time he was primarily installing either fiber optic cable or television cable.  In 2003, Rick decided to expand the company into all forms of underground utility installation and so created Tri-State Underground, Inc.

 

 Rick has grown the company from himself and one employee to multiple crews performing various phases of underground construction.  We now install pipes of various lengths and diameters.  Tri-State offers hydro-excavating, traditional trenching, pipe fusion, coring and more.
